The collective have been working with Choreographer and Dance Artist, Sivan Rubinstein! – A project supported by Arts Council England through Grants for the Arts funding.

Loop are delighted to now share the Ports That Pass Documentry with you!

Ports that Pass was a collaboration between Loop Dance Company and choreographer Sivan Rubinstein, presenting a physical exploration of the ‘Passport’, travel and identity, illustrated through dance, sound and photography.

Ports that Pass explored the concept of Identity through nationality, profession and social status. Using rich visual and sound landscapes, the different definitions of Identity were uncovered and working with the community in Margate, the diverse possibilities to create and share a self-portrait were revealed. At a time where borders open and close and countries get filled with colourful passports, Ports that Pass investigates the ‘Passport’ and portrays some of the stories that individual passports carried.

Ports that Pass – Thank you

Wow what a project! We would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to Arts Council England and Israeli Embassy for supporting the project and to our collaborators Na’ama Zisser, Amit Baruch and Jordan Mary. We were delighted to welcome guest dancers Paolo Pisarro and Aaron Smith, and would like to thank them and the other Loop Dancers Nina, Harriet and Daisy, for their wonderful performance. And finally, thank you to our amazing Choreographer, Sivan Rubinstein.
